Our History

Action Shred offers a more personal, responsible approach to information destruction. Why? It all goes back to our roots as a family-owned and operated business.

Action Shred is owned by brothers Joel and Craig Litman. Our parent company, Texas Recycling/Surplus, Inc., has been serving the DFW Metroplex since 1992.

In 2003, the Litman family saw a need for high-quality, dependable information destruction in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. They launched Action Shred and hired a team of trusted employees, many of whom have worked with the family at Texas Recycling for years.

With the family name attached to the company’s successful operations, the Litmans feel strongly that customer service should be prompt and personal. That’s why Action Shred’s phones are answered by people, not machines. Plus, we are ready to visit your site and quote a job in person—at your schedule, not ours.
