Steve Hines
Vice president
Raised in Guthrie, Okla., Steve Hines graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma and found his way into sales and sales management in the corporate world. Steve understands that companies need systems, policies and procedures to help them run properly; however, it is people that make a business successful.
“It seems some corporations have lost touch with the reason we are in business: to serve the customer with the most responsive, face-to-face, get-it-done-now attitude,” Steve says. “So many policies are put in place to protect the business, not actually help the customer.
“At Action Shred, I have found a family and company that don’t believe in automated phone systems that ultimately drop customers into voicemail. I love the fact that the Litmans are most concerned about making our customers happy, regardless of the sacrifice to the company. They are in business to serve the customer for the long haul,” Steve adds.
Steve considers his greatest gifts from God to be his wife and boys. He enjoys reading and serving his church family. Steve is working to complete a master’s degree at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Bethany Valmores
Sales manager
A graduate of Texas Christian University, Bethany Valmores gained business development experience in pharmaceutical sales prior to joining Action Shred. She likes the fast pace and quick turnaround culture of a smaller company, and works that to her advantage when designing a shredding program for companies large and small.
“A quote from Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. sums up my positive style,” Bethany says. “It reads, ‘I find the greatest thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as is what direction we’re moving.’”
An avid fan of the Horned Frog football team, Bethany enjoys soccer, yoga and “shopping of course! In my spare time I spend time with my family, and Sydney, the best dog ever! My weakness is Starbucks and my favorite food is cheese.” Bethany is the proud mother of a baby girl.

In her more than six years as a network technician in the telecommunications industry, Brandi Welk mastered troubleshooting problems in a timely fashion while creating superior customer satisfaction. That has translated into excellence at Action Shred, where her loyalty and commitment to customers’ needs are impeccable.
Being a team player, Brandi also has garnered several years of experience running operations at her family-owned business, where she honed her organizational and leadership skills with an eye for maximizing productivity. In a management role, Brandi aims to maintain quality by improving employees’ work performance. She is self-motivated and will accurately complete any task put before her, regardless of time sensitivity. Her No. 1 goal is to build relationships with customers and co-workers, thus ensuring the best communication possible.

Ed Colten
Customer care advisor
Ed Colten launched his career in grocery sales for Carnation Co., followed by a pharmaceutical sales position with Shering-Plough. Ed then went on to sell laboratory equipment used for medical research and quality control.
He built on these experiences with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which helped Ed gain insight into corporate cost controls, as well as legal and regulatory compliance issues. An in-depth understanding into the ways compliance impacts the bottom line led to his work with Action Shred.
“Because we are a smaller company, I have the flexibility to tailor programs for our clients, no matter their size,” Ed says. “I enjoy assisting businesses with meeting their security obligations to employees and customers by shredding confidential information, thus preventing identity theft and fraud. Plus, I appreciate the opportunity to help the environment by recycling paper and electronics to eliminate landfill abuse.”
Ed is an enthusiastic sports fan of his alma mater, the University of Arkansas. Outside of work, Ed embraces outdoor activities including camping, boating, fishing and hiking. He spends his spare time with his family, three dogs and one cat.
